As audience behavior shifted and digital culture reshaped the creative landscape, Mahaka saw the need to evolve beyond its legacy structure. This transformation became MahakaX, a new identity built to unite media, technology, and creativity into one collaborative ecosystem.

The rebrand was designed to reposition Mahaka as a modern platform that connects creators, brands, and communities while staying true to its pioneering roots.

The rebrand began with a simple question: how can Mahaka’s heritage in media evolve into a system for creative collaboration? The answer was found in the letter X. It represents the intersection of ideas, industries, and people, the DNA of the new MahakaX.

This symbol became the foundation for the entire strategy, serving as a metaphor for connection and exchange. By redefining Mahaka not as a broadcaster but as a creative connector, the strategy aligned all its business units under one powerful vision: an ecosystem where creativity and commerce move together.

The new visual identity brings the energy of the X to life. Every graphic element was designed to express intersection and motion, from bold geometric forms to sharp directional layouts. The signature red from Mahaka’s heritage was kept as a bridge to its past, but modernized for digital presence.

The system is flexible and modular, allowing each sub-brand within the ecosystem to maintain individuality while contributing to a unified whole. Across screens, stages, and social feeds, the design consistently communicates MahakaX as a brand in motion, progressive, collaborative, and future-facing.

Since its transformation, MahakaX has become a stronger, more relevant brand in Indonesia’s creative economy. The new identity unified internal culture and opened new collaborations across digital, education, and entertainment. It repositioned MahakaX beyond its roots as a media company into a creative platform that empowers creators, supports innovation, and connects industries. The shift from traditional broadcasting to a dynamic ecosystem reflects Mahaka’s commitment to shaping Indonesia’s creative future while honoring the legacy that started it all.

The results speak for themselves. In 2024, MahakaX reversed a net loss of Rp 52.41 billion in 2023 to achieve a net profit of Rp 5.58 billion, its first profit in five years. Revenue grew to Rp 208.55 billion, up 4% year-on-year, while EBITDA surged 179% to Rp 25.3 billion, driven by tighter synergy and digital innovation across business units.

These numbers prove how a rebrand, when rooted in strategy and executed with precision, can reshape perception, strengthen performance, and unlock new opportunities for growth.
